Our university’s mission is to serve professionals in the strategic security industry, especially within the law enforcement, military and the intelligence community, by increasing their opportunities for advancement in the fields of intelligence management, counterterrorism studies, and strategic security and protection management.   Our focus is on delivering user friendly, high quality, online programs with an emphasis on furthering knowledge in deterrence and prevention.

About Henley-Putnam University

Henley-Putnam University was conceived after more than twelve years of planning and research to contribute to the professional development of protection, intelligence and counterterrorism tradecraft. Yes, Our Name Has Changed

Henley-Putnam University changed its name in early 2007 from the California University of Protection and Intelligence Management to better reflect its online bachelor's, master's, and doctoral degree programs. Students from law enforcement, military, intelligence and private sectors can obtain degrees and certificates in Management of Personal Protection, Intelligence Management or Terrorism and Counterterrorism studies. Thus, to better represent the tradition and innovation of these types of specialties, the University’s management team chose the name Henley-Putnam University, named after the Revolutionary War historical figures Colonel David Henley and General Israel Putnam.  Learn more
